Ultrasound

What is an ultrasound?

An ultrasound is a non-invasive test that helps physicians and healthcare providers diagnose and treat medical conditions. The ultrasound imaging study uses sound waves to produce pictures of different structures in the body.

Who performs the ultrasound?

A registered vascular ultrasound technologist will perform the study. Our Ultrasound Center is accredited by the Inter-societal Commission for Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories, ICAVL.

What do I do if my ultrasound is positive?

You will have an appointment with a healthcare provider at Advanced Vascular Surgery to discuss your results and treatment options.
